Media Advisory: UAE Ambassador Yousef Al Otaiba to Shave His Head to Support Children’s National Medical Center

Washington, D.C. (Vocus) January 5, 2010 -- On Friday, January 8, the United Arab Emirates Ambassador to the United States, H.E. Yousef Al Otaiba, will shave his head to help support the cancer programs at Children’s National Medical Center (www.childrensnational.org) as part of the “Be Brave and Shave” fundraising effort, which has raised nearly $750,000 this year.

By offering to have his head shaved for this cause, Ambassador Al Otaiba has raised more than $264,000 from friends, family and colleagues and has generously offered to match the donations -- bringing his total contribution to more than $528,000.
